My life is a soul adventure. I know I’m on the right path when my heart sings. It sings loud and clear when I am connected to people, nature, travel, learning, music, dance, art, food, and wine. I believe that every experience enriches my life in some way, adding texture and depth to my soul adventure.
I’ve wanted to help people find their soul adventure and become more of who they are ever since I was a teenager. I thought I would be a therapist, but I put that dream aside when I realized how much traditional schooling that would take. I worked lots of different jobs over the years, gaining great experience and skills, and when I was coming close to turning 40 I realized that something big was missing – fulfillment at work. While I get a lot of satisfaction in the one-on-one student contact I have as a university academic advisor, I had only tiny tastes of real fulfillment, mostly when I worked with students who were struggling. My heart filled up with song whenever they had an “a-ha” moment that helped them move forward in their life, into their soul adventure. I decided I wanted to get back to my original teenage dream of helping more people find their soul adventure, and coaching was the way.
Through my training with CTI – The Coaches Training Institute, I happily discovered that my soul is on an adventure and my heart sings when I work with people through coaching. I’ve been coaching people since February 2013 and completed my training and became a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) in July 2014.
