It is our desire to strengthen your coaching skills so you can have a greater impact with your clients, making the world a better place.  In support of the ICF Gulf Coast Chapter Mission, we are intentional with our professional development and community building efforts contributing to the success of the coaches in our region. 

Program & Events

We are committed to providing relevant, enriching professional development experiences to our members.  We offer a wide variety of programs throughout the year, using primarily web-based learning opportunities that serve our geographically diverse membership.  Our programs are designed to help our coaching community learn, develop, network and share ideas.  Annually, we host a conference that allows for a deeper connection with the material and each other.

    The ICF Gulf Coast Business Development Special Interest Group (SIG) continues with our next meeting on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 6:30 PM Central. You’re invited to join this group of coaches working to strengthen their coaching practice and community.This SIG is for coaches in all niches and specialties. Beginners and veterans are equally welcome. We all have work we want to do to advance our coaching practices.

    Upcoming Topic is being developed and will be announced soon. 

    Our May meeting kicked off with coaches getting to know each other and sharing their practice goals, business development success strategies, and the challenges they are working on now.

    The September meeting featured ICF-recommended principles and practices for bringing in more right-for-you clients by way of meaningful networking and well-targeted referrals. Take away resources, strategies, and action tips from resources created by ICF-featured business development experts and from your fellow Gulf Coast coaches.

    Join us in New Orleans to explore TRANSITIONS

    Workshop Leader:  Chris Wahl, MA Ed, MCC

    Chris is a master-certified coach through ICF and is certified as a developmental coach. Chris brings a developmental perspective to her work with leaders, helping them build their capacity to succeed beyond challenges and to create a thriving professional life. Chris is the founder and creator of the Georgetown University Leadership Coaching Certificate program, where she teaches. She is adjunct faculty member teaching adult development in Georgetown’s Transformational Leadership program and coaches in Notre Dame’s Executive MBA program. Chris has co-authored two books, Be Your Own Coach, and On Becoming a Leadership Coach, and has been a frequent guest and host on radio shows dedicated to conscious leadership.

    Workshop Objectives

    • Explore your own story and experience about transitions
    • Introduce and test frameworks and models to improve your coaching    effectiveness when working with clients in transitions
    • Recognize and normalize emotions that appear throughout transitions


Many of the programs offered by our Chapter qualify for Continuing Coaching Education Units (CCEUs) through ICF Headquarters. 

Attendees receive documentation of attendance by email after the event.

It is the responsibility of attendees to keep track of their CCEU certificates. However, it is possible to request replacements for lost certificates. For replacement cost and more information, please contact our events coordinator at events@icfgulfcoast.com.

Registeration Fees

Costs vary depending on the program length, type, and venue.  The Gulf Coast Chapter members generally receive a discount on all program fees.

Cancellations received three days prior to an event will be refunded less a 10% cancellation fee. No refunds will be accepted within three days of the an event. Should you have any questions concerning our cancellation policy, please contact our events coordinator at events@icfgulfcoast.com.

Audio/Visual Release Policy

Anyone who attends an ICF Gulf Coast Chapter event must agree to the following policy.

By participating in this ICF Gulf Coast Chapter event, you ("Participant") understand that portions of the event may be recorded or captured in videos, photographs, audio recordings and/or other media (the “Recordings”). The Participant agrees that ICF Gulf Coast Chapter and its related parties own all rights, title and interest in the Recordings and have the right and permission to use the Recordings even if they include Participant’s name, likeness, voice, biographical details, testimonial, or photograph for marketing, advertising or any other purpose in any media or format, online and/or offline, now or hereafter without further notice or compensation to the Participant for the use of such Recordings. If Participant does not want to be captured in any such Recordings, Participant should make special arrangements with ICF Gulf Coast Chapter on such matters. While ICF Gulf Coast Chapter will make good faith efforts to honor such privacy requests, the released parties shall not have any liability in connection with the same.
