In this inter-active webinar, Ursula Pottinga will be touching on three neuroscience components that will explain WHY coaching works – if it works in coaching, there is a neuroscience explanation for it! We will cover the neuroscience of change (neuroplasticity), which really means: neuroplasticity = coaching, the stress curve and how to effectively get back and stay “in the zone” and the balance of being and doing and what it means to activate both neural networks, when you need them most!!! Why would you want to know this?

    · Relevance – clients will learn how their brain operates which then creates sustainable outcomes for the client – even when you are not around. They will experience the impact and positive outcomes of a regulated brain.
    · Retention – clients will stay with you longer since you are offering new tools, new information and a research based rationale that change does not happen overnight (neuroplasticity).
    · Results – neuroscience normalizes the behavior and gives it a rational explanation of why we sometimes over-react, forget things, have lost all our empathy (and the car keys...!)

In coaching there are a vast number of niches and methodologies, so many that it can get confusing. But when it comes to coaching approaches there are only a few, and they can be mapped along a ‘coaching continuum’.

The challenge is that within the coaching industry itself there is confusion as to what each approach looks like. If you call yourself a ‘transformational coach’, what exactly does that mean? Is that actually what you are and how do you know it?

In this webinar, Leon VanderPol, founder of the Center for Transformational Coaching & Living, will share a framework for understanding the primary differences in approach and what it takes to coach along the full breadth of the coaching continuum. By knowing each approach and also what it takes to coach that way, you will be better able to position yourself to meet the needs of your clients.

    Key Takeaways:

    1. understanding the distinctions between three primary coaching approaches.
    2. clarifying misconceptions about transformational coaching.
    3. learning what it takes to go deeper with your clients in a session.
    4. a framework for moving along the Coaching Continuum that can be applied immediately into coaching engagements.

This webinar will offer Core Competency CCEUs for participants.

**Please Note: In an exciting departure from our usual monthly schedule, this evening webinar will feature an international speaker. Please check the time based for your local time zone.

The coaching profession is growing. This is largely due to the efforts of coaches and coaching organizations across the globe that are focused on building awareness about the benefits of coaching.

As awareness expands, more people want to be coached and not only White male executives, for example. Coaching has become more desirable and accessible to people from underrepresented cultural groups. One implication related to this trend is that coaches will need to improve their skills in coaching across cultural differences. Another implication is the need to understand how the coach and client develop vertically or make meaning of their worlds and the sociocultural factors that influence the realities they construct such as their coaching goals. This webinar is for coaches who want to effectively and ethically work with clients across cultural differences AND who want to help their client develop vertically to meet the demands of an increasingly complex inner and outer world.

Executive and organizational coaches working with leaders, teams, and groups are immersed in complex, evolving organizational systems. This equally applies to transition and career coaches as there is always a systemic context to the coaching work. A coach’s ability to show up confident, competent, creative, and compassionate for their clients depends on their capacity to review and reflect on their work. This experiential session, using a live group supervision session and dialog, aims to illustrate coaching supervision as a reflective practice helping coaches be attentive and present to themselves, their clients, and organizations as systems.

Being an effective systemic coach means being attentive and present with the leaders we coach and reflecting on our work through three lenses—Self (how is my coaching client’s situation affecting me?), Others, (what is the quality of my client relationship and my relationship to the client organization?), and the System (What is happening within the system/s the client operates in, and what effects are being felt by the client?). Coaching Supervision creates the reflective and relational space for coaches to look through these three lenses to learn and develop from a systems perspective in service of their clients and organizations. In this experiential session, through live supervision sessions, participants will have the opportunity to give and receive coaching supervision and to experience, through a reflective dialog, how to view their work through a more systemic lens.

How do you expand your coaching presence using all senses, including that of intuition?  Intuition can be applied in the coaching process to create awareness for the client using your presence, active listening and powerful questioning. Learn more about the power of intuition in coaching in this workshop that can deepen your own impact in your coaching sessions.

Coaches are naturally curious and often highly intuitive.  While Intuition is listed as a sub-bullet under the Core Competency of Coaching Presence, coaches may be reluctant to ‘trust’ their intuition.  Some coaches might trust their intuition but then may not be sure how to use it without driving an agenda with a client.  This webinar is designed to explore the use of intuition as a practical tool that can deepen coaching presence and help to stimulate active listening, powerful questioning and creating awareness with their clients.

    3 Key Takeaways:
    1.     Understand the interrelationships of using intuition to the Core Competencies:
    ·      Presence
    ·      Active Listening
    ·      Powerful Questioning
    ·      Creating Awareness

    2. Identify different ways one’s intuition can present itself.

    3. Know how to apply this tool of intuition as a coach as well as encouraging its use within one’s clients.

This webinar has been approved for 1.0 Core Competency CCEUs.
