Mission

It is our desire to strengthen your coaching skills so you can have a greater impact with your clients, making the world a better place.  In support of the ICF Gulf Coast Chapter Mission, we are intentional with our professional development and community building efforts contributing to the success of the coaches in our region. 

Program & Events

We are committed to providing relevant, enriching professional development experiences to our members.  We offer a wide variety of programs throughout the year, using primarily web-based learning opportunities that serve our geographically diverse membership.  Our programs are designed to help our coaching community learn, develop, network and share ideas.  Annually, we host a conference that allows for a deeper connection with the material and each other.

    Talk Tuesdays: The Coaches Virtual Salon

    What is a Salon? A gathering of Coaches to share ideas, pose questions, and network across a variety of topics.

    Many leaders tell us their organizations are pretty good, but a little too nice. When we avoid having tough conversations because we don’t want to hurt people’s feelings, are we effectively communicating? She has coached clients from Fortune 500 companies in the U.S. and around the world. A frequent keynote and breakout session speaker on technical and motivational topics to inspire personal and professional growth, Laurie has presented at dozens of conferences and professional meetings from small groups to over 350 people.     The ICF Gulf Coast Business Development Special Interest Group (SIG) continues with our next meeting on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 6:30 PM Central. You’re invited to join this group of coaches working to strengthen their coaching practice and community.This SIG is for coaches in all niches and specialties. Beginners and veterans are equally welcome. We all have work we want to do to advance our coaching practices.

    Upcoming Topic is being developed and will be announced soon. 

    Our May meeting kicked off with coaches getting to know each other and sharing their practice goals, business development success strategies, and the challenges they are working on now.

    The September meeting featured ICF-recommended principles and practices for bringing in more right-for-you clients by way of meaningful networking and well-targeted referrals. Take away resources, strategies, and action tips from resources created by ICF-featured business development experts and from your fellow Gulf Coast coaches.

    This Transformation Coaching Model will serve participants of any coaching niche as an entrepreneurial tool for their coaching practice. The Transformational
    Coaching Model helps coaches drill deeper using powerful questions to
    facilitate the client’s forward movement.  This model is inspired from the historical Old Testament leader Nehemiah. It is principle based, capturing responses from Nehemiah’s challenges of rebuilding the wall around Jerusalem.  Along with the tried and proven principles, the model is embedded with the ICF Core Competencies, specifically:  Creating the Coaching Agreement; Creating Trust and Intimacy with the Client; Coaching Presence; Active Listening; Powerful Questioning; Direct Communication; Creating Awareness; and Designing Actions.

    You will receive 1 Core Competency CCEU by attending this webinar.  Through the skilled use of the competencies as a coach, you will connect with your client as they move forward to change; bringing about a transformational process through the coaching session.  The principles of this Transformational Coaching Model and the placement of the competencies are written about in the book titled - Nehemiah Response: a coaching model , available on Amazon.
