“Demonstrates Ethical Practice” is ICF Core Competency number one for a reason: without an ethical underpinning to your work, all of the other competencies are compromised. The guidelines can seem clear-cut and unambiguous on paper, right? But you only have to have been coaching for a short time to realize that things can get a bit messy and the lines a little fuzzy out in the real world.

This interactive session offers an in-depth critical review of the new ICF Code of Ethics and explores the many situations that challenge our relationship to that Code. Through the presentation of video interviews with a diverse group of experienced coaches, real-life examples of ethics in action, and peer learning, participants will engage with the content and one another to deepen their understanding of what it means to make ethical practices the foundation of their coaching work.

    3 Key Takeaways:

    • An enhanced understanding through critical review of the first Core Competency and how it intersects with their individual coaching practice
    • Ideas for working through common ethical dilemmas they might encounter as either an internal or external coaches
    • Insights on how to talk about the Code of Ethics with their clients and integrate the principles into their agreements and ongoing partnerships

This webinar has been approved by the International Coaching Federation for 1.5 Core Competency CCEUs.

Build a richer connection with clients that evokes your best coaching self in service of the client

As coaches, our ability to be fully present and conscious with our clients is key to a successful relationship. Yet sometimes we can let the skills and tools we learned steal our focus away from being in the moment. And without a focus on our way of being with our client, our coaching relationship is less effective.

While it’s important to intentionally improve our capacity for presence, exactly how can we do that?
This 90-minute, highly interactive webinar will equip coaches with the Relational Presence methodology. This proven process will build your muscle of how to be with clients. Relational Presence allows coaches to access a way of being that heightens trust and intimacy, enriches their coaching presence, deepens active listening, and fine tunes their direct communication with clients.

For more on Relational Presence and Coaching, see this article: https://coachfederation.org/blog/a-way-to-be

Please be sure to use your webcam for this webinar. This is a high participation event where attendees have the opportunity to practice the skills learned in the session. Be “camera ready” to interact with the other participants via webcam.

This webinar has been approved by the International Coaching Federation for 1.5 Core Competency CCEUs.

Please note this event will take place at 7:00 to 8:30pm Central time US.

About Tina Mertel, PCC and Pam Noda, PCC

Tina Mertel and Pam Noda are PCC-level coaches and are certified in Relational Presence (also known as Speaking Circles®) Training. Experience has taught them that being in Relational Presence with clients is the ground of coaching wisdom. From there emerges a coach’s sense of what to say when and which skills/tools to apply. From there emerges a client’s inner knowing and call to action. This combination is what yields inspired coaching from the coach and inspired results for the client.

All Gulf Coast chapter webinar listed times are in US Central time (New Orleans). Please convert to your local time zone here.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
