We are experiencing tremendous change in our society and workplaces right now.  From AI to Return to Office mandates to changes in DEI policies - our world, and our clients, are experiencing change and transition at an incredibly rapid pace. With change, comes loss- even if the change is positive.   Utilizing the work of several thought leaders, this session will share a framework to understand the process (and distinction) of change and transition and how to best support our clients through the losses-as well as transformation-that can occur during periods of transition.  It will explore how to hold the tension of being with clients in losses, acknowledging them, and gently allowing for new ways of being to emerge.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the phases of transition and loss, as well as the distinctions between change and transition
  • Discover ways to maintain the polarity of holding space for loss and allowing new possibilities to emerge, while meeting the client where they are
  • Practice application of the framework and discussion to utilize with clients currently going through transitions.
